Following the seven year training period for those viewed worthy to be brought into the Children of Haqim there is a great ceremony at the mountain fortress of Alamut, in which those considered worthy to receive the Blood are embraced. It is held annually and is attended by all senior members of the clan. Each of the Children of Haqim attempts to return for this great ceremony, which is one of the Children of Haqim's most important rituals. This is done so they can know those whom have been chosen on sight.

Each of the Children of Haqim has an individual sire. Following the ritualistic embrace, the new Child of Haqim is given a small amount of the Heartblood. The use of the Heartblood during the ritual of the Embrace symbolizes the fact that the clan, and not an individual sire, is the true focus of loyalty for the newly created Fidai.
